About The Position

The Warehouse Associate / Back-up Driver
is responsible for
supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This role also serves as a back-up delivery driver, ensuring
timely
and safe transportation of goods to customers or job sites when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record Required
• Ability to: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to: Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to: Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to: Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet
• Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)

• Previous forklift/cherry picker experience

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Verifies and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Drives equipment to transport items within the warehouse.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product code.
• Sorts and stores stocked goods in warehouse.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to customers and sales.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.
• Confirm tickets.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Consolidates freight for shipping.
• Communicate with sales associates or managers through problem solving to meet customer needs.
• Acts in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and World associates.
• Ensure truck is in safe operating condition and maintains a clean appearance.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
• Construct pallets based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
• Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
