About The Position

The Warehouse Associate at BrightFarms is responsible for various critical tasks in the shipping, receiving, storage, and movement of materials within a large-scale greenhouse production facility. This role involves handling inbound shipments, staging materials for production, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and food safety standards. The associate will utilize a forklift extensively and must maintain a clean and safe working environment while communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience operating powered equipment to load, unload, and move materials
  • Knowledge of GMP/GWP
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and show attention to detail
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision

Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping, receiving, and storage of materials in compliance with plant rules and safety practices.
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction through proper auditing of materials received, shipped, and stored.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, verifications, and reconciliations as required.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipments and inventory transactions.
  • Interface with 3PL providers to address questions or solve problems.
  • Maintain item records and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and leadership.
  • Keep the work area clean and perform housekeeping and sanitation on equipment.
