About The Position

As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar, you will be responsible for performing warehousing functions including processing, storing, and moving parts and materials. This role requires adherence to standard work instructions and the ability to train others. You will work in a structured environment, utilizing various material movement equipment and following principles of continuous improvement and waste elimination.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous work or volunteer experience.
• Beginner proficiency in Computer Skills/Microsoft applications.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of Forklift experience (sit-down, stand-up/reach truck, turret truck).
• Order Picker Forklift experience (cherry-picker, case-picker).
• Logistics/Warehouse experience.
• Experience with Computerized Inventory Management Systems (SAP).
• Numerical Reasoning Aptitude Skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehousing functions for processing, storing, and moving parts and materials.
• Follow Standard Work and adhere to provided instructions.
• Verify quantities, count parts, fill orders, and package parts as necessary.
• Train others in Standard Work procedures.
• Utilize CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, and Waste Elimination.
