POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in Abby’s Catering’s aviation food safety and supply chain operations. This position is responsible for receiving, sanitizing, staging, and preparing food products and equipment in compliance with HACCP, GMP, and aviation safety standards. The Warehouse Associate works closely with logistics, production, and flight operations teams to ensure accurate, timely, and safe support of a 24/7 aviation catering operation. Reports to: Warehouse Manager Schedule: Rotating shifts within a 24/7 operation (weekends and holidays as required)

Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse, food service, or aviation-related operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and dry goods handling preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver 50–75 lbs repeatedly .
  • Ability to bend, climb, and safely work in warehouse and elevated work areas.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work rotating schedules in a 24/7 operation .
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain TSA, Customs, and airport security clearance.
  • English required (must be able to speak, read, and understand English for safety training, documentation, and operational communication).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming food products, supplies, and equipment.
  • Decant and sanitize fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other food items according to established food safety protocols.
  • Remove outer packaging from dry goods and ensure proper labeling, traceability, and documentation.
  • Measure, monitor, and maintain sanitizer chemical concentrations in compliance with HACCP and GMP standards.
  • Accurately complete food safety logs, sanitation records, temperature logs, and waste logs.
  • Stock shelves, rotate inventory using FIFO practices, and maintain organized storage areas.
  • Load, unload, move, and stage bulk products and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with replenishing carts, resetting staging areas, and preparing equipment for flight operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of warehouse areas, including walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
  • Support logistics and supply chain operations during peak periods and downtime.
  • Participate in spill-response procedures and maintain up-to-date safety documentation.
  • Follow all food safety, airport, TSA, Customs, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required PPE and maintain situational awareness in high-traffic operational areas.
  • Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with aviation catering standards and internal audits.
