About The Position

As our Warehouse Assistant , you will play a highly visible role in maintaining the heart of our campus operations . Working under the Operations Coordinator, you will ensure our residents and staff have exactly what they need to succeed .

Requirements

  • Education & Age: Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 18 years of age.
  • Soft Skills: Must be self-directed, organized, possess effective listening and speaking skills, and serve as a positive representative of SMCH to external stakeholders.
  • Reliability: Valid driver's license, punctual, able to work some nights, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods, bend/stoop regularly, and often move items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and conduct monthly inventory inspections.
  • Donation Management: Sort through community donations, laundering items, as needed, and preparing goods for use or re-donatin to other charities.
  • Resident Support: Prepare "First-Day" kits and gather clothing for new residents to ensure they feel welcome and cared for.
  • Logistics & Fulfillment: Prepare monthly requisitions for campus cottages and assist employees in locating essential items and purchasing goods as needed, under the direction of the Operations Coordinator.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead volunteers and student workers, and provide secondary backup support for the campus Receptionist.
  • Event Support: During major events, serving as support personnel to ensure events are well set up, and goods are procured and delivered as needed.
