About The Position

Warehouse assistant needed for coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product in accordance with production, shipping schedules and supervisors’ priorities. Job Description · Receive products and supports work processes by receiving, inspecting, preparing, sorting, identifying, weighing, allocating, and loading materials; placing orders in receiving area. Route and assign material to storage locations. · Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damages. · Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. · Returns items to inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items. · Monitor and control movement of materials, parts and finished products. · Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests. · Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists. · Maintains quality inspection by following organization standards. · Maintains safe and clean work environment by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules, procedures and regulations; wearing personal protective equipment when necessary, keeping shelves, and work area clean. · Operate forklift and any other equipment as needed. · Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Possess good communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, environment
  • Ability to multi-task and display good time management
  • Ability to operate computer, knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Aviation/Defense a plus
  • Knowledge of computerized inventory system a plus (Pentagon, Quantum)
  • Experience operating forklift
