About The Position

Responsible for the efficient and effective execution of assigned warehouse activities on a daily basis, including receipt, storage, preservation, staging and movement and security of materials as directed the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Skill in Microsoft Office applications
• Functions involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks involve climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Functions are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Responsibilities

• Follows defined storeroom workflow processes. This includes allocating supplies, receiving batches and distribution. Breaks down and receives incoming shipments, verifies materials; labels and stores as directed
• Delivers supplies, via company vehicle, to branch operation.
• Uses bar code scanners, docking stations, and other equipment as required in the documentation of material movement in the warehouse
• Conducts periodic inventory cycle counts and physical inventories; prepares for and participates in audits as directed
• Handles and stores critical supplies inventory in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Monitors personnel traffic in and out of the warehouse, challenging persons not authorized access to warehouse spaces, reporting suspicious personnel or behavior to supervisor; ensures physical security barriers are secure as directed
• Keeps warehouse spaces clean and walkways/aisles clear of materials and refuse by sweeping and picking up debris
• Manages records and documents as required.
