About The Position

Position Summary Columbia Construction is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Warehouse Assistant / Truck Driver to support our field operations by maintaining rental services, inventory, and material flow across all jobsites. This role is critical to keeping projects moving efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate takes pride in organization, teamwork, and living out The Columbia Way every day.

Requirements

  • Regular work hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience required
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to drive a non-CDL box truck
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • DOT Health Card (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

  • Solid computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with or understanding of tool tracking systems preferred
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
  • Forklift Operator’s License (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain rental services and material support for all Columbia jobsites.
  • Update, track, and maintain accurate inventory of consumables and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile shortages and overages, and prepare documentation for tracking and reporting.
  • Organize stock to ensure efficient access, visibility, and safe storage.
  • Ability to manage and remove construction waste and debris, trash hampers, etc.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, stage, and dispatch materials and equipment for delivery to jobsites.
  • Prepare materials for transport and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure all equipment and warehouse operations meet OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Inspect equipment and report or address minor maintenance needs promptly.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Perform minor maintenance and routine checks on warehouse equipment.
  • Drive a non-CDL box truck to deliver and retrieve materials and equipment as needed.
  • Represent Columbia Construction professionally when interacting with jobsite teams and partners.
  • Work as an active, reliable team member to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrate accountability, respect, and pride in workmanship.
  • Be an active participant in The Columbia Way, supporting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
