About The Position

The Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. This hands-on position involves managing daily warehouse activities, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with operational procedures. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management processes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding and experience in logistics, warehousing, and inventory management processes
• Knowledge of customer, employee, and contractor interactions
• Understanding of DOT requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare opening and closing of the warehouse
• Lift 50 pounds or greater
• Receive and record new inventory as delivered
• Inspect and sort all inbound/outbound receipts to confirm proper processing
• Interact professionally with contractors, vendors, customers, and employees
• Assist the Manager in understanding and implementing customer requirements
• Operate various equipment including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and box truck
• Monitor and measure receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy
• Assist in staging, sorting, loading, receiving, and delivering products
• Drive company leased or owned equipment as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned to meet operational objectives
