About The Position
ShipSage, Inc, an e-commerce auto parts distributor, is seeking a responsible and efficient Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee warehouse distribution and third-party logistics (3PL) operations. This full-time position is based in Tracy, CA, and offers a competitive salary starting from $65,000 per year. The ideal candidate will possess stellar leadership skills and a strong background in warehouse management, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Warehouse Assistant Manager will be responsible for maintaining schedules for daily operations, evaluating employee performance, and collaborating with other managers and departments to maximize efficiency. The position requires the creation of strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, as well as effective communication of company updates and new information to team members. The manager will oversee customer service operations to ensure customer satisfaction and delegate responsibilities to employees based on managerial instructions. Additionally, the Warehouse Assistant Manager will collaborate with accounting staff to perform loss prevention, manage daily logistics routes and schedules for shipments and deliveries, and ensure that production and quality requirements are met according to company standards. Regular reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly operations, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), employee productivity, and inventory analysis will also be part of the responsibilities. The manager will be tasked with planning a reduction of daily warehouse material and operational costs while maintaining high safety standards throughout operations. Training staff and monitoring their performance, as well as fulfilling objectives and directions from upper management, are crucial aspects of this role. The position also involves securing the warehouse, procuring necessary supplies and equipment, and performing other job duties and projects as assigned.
