About The Position

The Warehouse Assistant Leader supports daily warehouse operations by helping oversee staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safe and efficient material handling. This role acts as a key support to the Warehouse Supervisor and serves as a leader on the floor, helping coordinate workflow and step in as needed to ensure operational goals are met.

Requirements

  • Ability to work nights 6:45pm-7:15am on rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Technology, or equivalent in experience
  • 3+ years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, mathematical, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices

Responsibilities

  • Support training and coaching of warehouse associates
  • Help assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and accuracy
  • Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and PPE
  • Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards, initiating action as needed
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delays, downtime, or waste
  • Communicate effectively with management, logistics, and other departments
  • Prepare reports on warehouse productivity
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
