About The Position

The Warehouse Assistant Leader supports daily warehouse operations by helping oversee staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safe and efficient material handling. This role acts as a key support to the Warehouse Supervisor and serves as a leader on the floor, helping coordinate workflow and step in as needed to ensure operational goals are met.

Requirements

Ability to work nights 6:45pm-7:15am on rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Technology, or equivalent in experience
3+ years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Strong organizational, problem-solving, mathematical, and communication skills
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices

Responsibilities

Support training and coaching of warehouse associates
Help assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and accuracy
Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and PPE
Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards, initiating action as needed
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delays, downtime, or waste
Communicate effectively with management, logistics, and other departments
Prepare reports on warehouse productivity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
