About The Position

Assembles metal products, such as valves, or hydraulic cylinders, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Positions parts according to knowledge of product or following bills of materials. Removes small quantities of metal with hand files, pneumatic grinder, or grinding wheel. Operates drill presses to assist in assembly operation. Operates test equipment to evaluate product. Performs suitable maintenance. Stocks inventory. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
