About The Position
The Warehouse and Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in the logistics and inventory management of the company. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate receiving of inventory and the efficient picking, packing, and shipping of orders. The clerk will work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations. The role requires a strong attention to detail to ensure that all orders are processed correctly and that inventory is managed effectively. The clerk will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, which is essential for safety and productivity in the warehouse setting. In addition to the core responsibilities of picking and packing orders, the Warehouse and Shipping Clerk will operate computerized shipping software to schedule shipments and prepare necessary shipping documentation, including packing lists and shipping labels. The position involves receiving incoming trucks and containers, where the clerk will need to accurately put away, consolidate, and stack products and materials in designated areas, such as coolers. This role requires physical stamina, as the clerk must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on an occasional basis. The ability to multitask and work collaboratively with team members is essential for success in this position.
