About The Position

The position involves the check-in and receipt of shipments, restocking items and supplies as needed in the bakery, and keeping our warehouse organized. This person will work directly with the warehouse supervisor, as well as managers and staff members on our baking crews. What can you expect? Requirements

Valid Michigan driver's license with good driving record
Must be able to read and communicate in English
Basic computer skills
Counting up to 100
For the duration of an 8-10 hour shift must have the: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, repeatedly
Ability to stand, lift, push, pull and bend
Position requires some time in indoor/outdoor environments
Takes pride in working accurately and being organized
Is responsible and dependable
Can learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
Is a team player able to take direction from multiple leaders and communicate between departments
Part Time -3 days per week, Sundays required!
Generally between the hours of 8am- 4pm
Opportunity to work additional hours during busy times or to cover planned time-off for other warehouse employees
No additional time off from November-December

Responsibilities

Works with the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate and execute receiving shipments and re-stocking of the bakery
Checking-in all incoming orders against invoices to ensure accuracy and quality
Maintains an organized and properly stocked warehouse to ensure the highest level of efficiency, productivity, and cost savings
Maintains all food safety standards
Works with department managers to move stock from warehouse to bakery departments as needed
Uses Hi-Low and pallet jacks to move loaded pallets to place them properly in the warehouse
Uses dollies and/or carts to transport ingredients and supplies from warehouse to bakery building
Develops strong communication between departments
Communicates equipment and facilities issues as necessary
