About The Position
Valpak is seeking a Warehouse and Inventory Associate to join our dynamic team in St. Petersburg, FL. This full-time position is crucial as we prepare for significant growth in 2025, having already experienced over 40% growth in the last three years. The successful candidate will perform essential production and distribution tasks within the Warehouse area, ensuring the effective operation of various equipment with minimal downtime. The role encompasses a variety of logistics functions, including loading and unloading trucks, counting and weighing materials, and operating advanced robotic systems such as robotic sleeving and palletizing robots. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for the general operation of conveying systems, High Density Storage (HDS), Print Roll Buffer (PRB), Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), and Automated Storage/Retrieval System (ASRS). In this role, you will be accountable for maximizing the efficiency of Warehouse and Inventory equipment. You will also be expected to diagnose and repair routine equipment issues, emphasizing the importance of preventative maintenance and adherence to equipment specifications. The associate will provide backup support to the Senior Process Technician and communicate effectively regarding equipment, process, maintenance, and quality issues that may affect material delivery. Continuous learning is a key component of this position, as you will participate in the VMC “Progression” program to enhance your skills related to the Process Technician role. You will also take on a coaching role, promoting continuous process improvement, safety, and teamwork within the cell. Safety is paramount in this position, and you will be responsible for using safe work practices, reporting injuries, and coaching fellow employees on safety protocols. The role may also involve performing related work and additional duties as needed.
