About The Position

The Airport Warehouse Agent / Cabin Cleaner is responsible for supporting airport ground operations by handling warehouse logistics and aircraft cabin cleanliness in accordance with aviation safety, hygiene, and security standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills; Word, Excel, data entry skills
  • Flexibility, multitasking and experience working in a changing environment
  • Obtain and maintain LAWA badge and appropriate Custom Seal
  • Must possess a Valid California ID or Driver's License in good standing.
  • Must pass FBI background check and obtain a Custom Seal
  • Able to comfortably lift, carry and/or hold up to 50lbs
  • Must pass pre-employment medical examination
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Treat all information as confidential.
  • Possesses the tact to deal with situations at all levels, client representatives, employees, and the public.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and bend throughout shift.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Must be willing and able to work in various climatic conditions including extreme heat and cold (over 100 to below 0), including high winds, rain, ice, and snow.
  • Must be willing and able to cope with various non-routine situations, including, but not limited to, early/late flights, weather and mechanical delays, and passenger assistance, including accommodation/re-accommodation.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
  • Must meet requirements to obtain a security-sensitive identification badge.
  • Must be able to direct in English verbally.
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
  • Be able to resolve problem situations with passengers when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the work of airport agents across assigned areas (gates, ramp, ticket counter, baggage, or customer service).
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times
  • Repackage open paper products for reuse.
  • Assures proper maintenance of shipment records, and monitors documentation and labeling
  • Monitors and controls warehouse equipment and supplies, and ensures accurate counts of inventory.
  • Assures compliance with corporate warehouse policies and procedures
  • Observes and alerts Supervisor and Managers of potential problems for resolution
  • Sort and weigh outbound and inbound laundry, linen and headphones.
  • Prepare daily par level as defined by United Airlines of kits and totes, including but not limited to Blanket Totes, In-flight Kits, Lavatory Supply Totes and return supply of Amenity Kit Totes, and Headphone Totes for international departures. This includes checking and sorting of used kits and totes from inbound flights.
  • Build lavatory provisioning supply bags for use by all of the Aircraft Appearance Suppliers.
  • Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required.
  • Must be attired in proper uniform or business attire as directed by company officials and identification must always be visible.
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
