About The Position

The Laundry Staff position is responsible for providing neat, clean and pressed uniforms for Sodexo Live! food service staff and Non Profit Organization partner volunteers. They will either distribute uniforms that are laundered by an outside service, or will operate laundry machinery to clean them internally. This position must strictly adhere to workplace safety procedures, follow guidelines for proper use of laundry and cleaning chemicals and must follow manufacturer safety recommendations for proper equipment usage. This position primarily exists in a large sporting and events arena in a first tier market.

• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Launder and/or distribute clean and pressed uniforms that meet Sodexo Live!grooming standards.
• Collect, tag and sort soiled uniforms for processing.
• Wash uniforms on non-event day to ensure they are ready for staff when needed.
• Ensure that clean uniforms are stored in a neat and organized manner to allow for easy access and proper distribution; Maintain accurate uniform inventory.
• Operate washers, dryers and pressing machine for uniforms and other linens in a correct and safe manner.
• Mend and repair uniforms as needed to maintain quality and appearance.
