Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility is looking for a Full Time Unit Clerk. The Unit Clerk supports the nursing staff by performing clerical duties which may include but is not limited to: greeting patients and visitors, answering the telephone, delivering messages, making charts, coordinating and organizing transfer paperwork and assisting with patient care (i.e. making appointments, calling providers, assisting with prior authorizations)
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification: As required for your care area. May include: CPR/BLS
Nice To Haves
- Prior patient care and customer service experience preferred
- Clerical experience recommended
Responsibilities
- Supports nursing and interdisciplinary team functions, including notifying other departments (e.g., maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, security).
- Performs clerical duties, such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Assists with patient transport and coordinates bed assignments and follow-up care.
- Participates in unit councils, staff meetings, and required education within stated timeframes.
- Answers call bells and documents thoroughly in EMR/Point Click Care.
