Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and be able to follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

Verify census daily; prepare and distribute census reports to designated individuals.
Process admissions and discharge records in a timely and accurate manner.
Answer telephone and route calls promptly and accurately.
Assist nursing staff as assigned.
Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
Consistently work cooperatively with staff and accept assigned duties.
Report for work in neat attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
Work cooperatively with residents, representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providers.
Agree not to disclose residents protected health information (PHI) and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
Ensure that the department computer work station left unattended is properly logged off or the password protected screensaver activates within established facility policy guidelines.
Report suspected resident abuse immediately to the Administrator.
Inventory and stock supplies maintained at nurses station in supply points; distribute appropriate supplies.
Assist the Central Supply Director as needed.
Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
Answer calls,
Schedule appointments.
Assist with Nursing Department activities to include administrative support; assisting residents, families and visitors, and running errands to include travel to supply sources.
