About The Position

About the Role & Program Workforce Management provides tools, systems, processes, and knowledge to optimize labor strategies in an ever-evolving environment. Our main priority is our Cast Members—we strive to create a world-class workforce that inspires and delivers magical guest experiences throughout Walt Disney World. We partner closely with our fellow labor, operations, and business partners to ensure the right number of Cast Members are in the right place at the right time, aligning workforce needs with guest demand through data-driven strategies. The Transformation, Analytics, & Strategy team serves as the analytical engine behind Workforce Management, using data analysis and critical thinking to improve staffing and workload processes. We apply principles from industrial engineering, data science, and operations research to drive both labor planning and operational efficiency. Our work includes: Conducting time studies to inform labor standards and staffing models Leveraging predictive analytics, simulation modeling, and optimization techniques to support strategic decision-making Building dynamic visuals and dashboards to tell a story with data and create actionable insights Designing and implementing automated procedures Our program is designed to accelerate your professional growth through hands-on experience, contributing to initiatives that directly impact our Cast, our operations, and our guests. Your work will help drive innovation in how we manage and support our workforce across all of Walt Disney World. This internship is a full-time commitment located in the Orlando, FL area from June 2026 – August OR December 2026

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively partner with team members while demonstrating strong communication and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn new software applications quickly & effectively
  • Ability to take initiative, independently lead projects, and build strong relationships with a variety of Cast
  • Creativity to approach problems in new, innovative ways
  • Ability to articulate recommendations to Cast with a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Transcript submission is required at time of application.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required (please note: no rounding)
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • This internship is a full-time commitment located in the Orlando, FL area from June 2026 - August OR December 2026.
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related work experience, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on problem solving
  • Proven knowledge and/or experience with Walt Disney Parks and Resort
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, or Dataiku
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior year preferred.
  • Major in a four-year Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical skills, statistics and analytics to support the forecasting and planning of Walt Disney World labor in changing business conditions.
  • Types of analyses include forecasting, allocation, benchmarking, what-if scenarios, and impact quantification
  • Analyze and model labor-related data using various mathematical and statistical approaches
  • Develop analyses and models to assess labor needs and measure the effectiveness of forecasting and planning
