Duncan-Parnell is looking for a Wallcovering Installer in either our Charlotte or Raleigh NC office. This role is a critical position supporting both operations and customers in our Signs & Graphics division. Position Summary: The Wallcovering Installer is responsible for preparing, measuring, cutting, and applying a wide range of wallcovering materials to interior and exterior surfaces. This role requires a strong eye for detail, precision, and craftsmanship to ensure a high-quality finish that meets design and client expectations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a professional wallcovering installer or wallpaper hanger.
Strong knowledge of wall preparation, adhesives, and application techniques for various materials.
Ability to read blueprints, design layouts, and installation specifications.
Excellent attention to detail, color matching, and pattern alignment.
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Physical ability to stand, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

Certification from the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Measure and prepare walls, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly primed for installation.
Cut, match, and apply wallcoverings including vinyl, fabric, digital prints, murals, and specialty materials.
Align patterns precisely and maintain consistent seams and adhesion.
Remove old wallcoverings and repair damaged surfaces as needed.
Mix and apply appropriate adhesives, following manufacturer specifications.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in clean, working condition.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and site regulations during installation.
Inspect completed work to ensure superior craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
