About The Position

Walk-In Clinic Clinician (MD/DO, APP) Location: Midtown - Sacramento, CA (95811) Schedule Options: We offer two scheduling options for this vacancy: Tuesday–Saturday : Standard 8-hour shifts Wednesday–Saturday : 38-hour workweek with 10-hour shifts (except Saturday) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Skilled in caring for patient across the lifespan, from infants to elderly Conduct thorough, age-appropriate, physical examinations and patient assessments that is culturally, spiritually, and trauma sensitive Assess, diagnose, and treat common acute illnesses and injuries Document completely, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in the electronic health record (EHR) Interpret lab and imaging data to develop an evidence-based plan of care, along with utilize strong physical examination skills Proficiency in minor procedures including, but not limited to, laceration repair, foreign body removals of the eyes, ears, and nose, splinting and casting, joint injections, and incision & drainage Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and common chronic conditions Prescribe therapeutics and medications as needed (including regulated medications) Expertise in family planning and pregnancy prevention methods Expertise in sexual health, including pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV and post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections Provide quality high patient care through a trauma-informed care delivery model Collaborate with other team members including other clinicians, operational partners, medical assistants, case managers, and nurses Strategically manage high priority items in a fast-paced environment Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model Delegate to and effectively coordinate care with other team members, and emergency personnel when Additional Duties Attend meetings, training sessions, and participate in committees as directed Participate in ongoing professional development Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Masters or Doctorate degree (MSN, MS, DNP, MD, DO) Maintain active and unrestricted NP, PA, MD, or DO license in California Maintain active and unrestricted DEA license Minimum 1 year experience in emergency room, urgent care, or similar setting Current BLS. PREFERRED BACKGROUND - Bilingual (Spanish, Dari, Pashto) preferred - 2 years’ experience in emergency rooms, urgent care, or similar setting - Ability to collaborate effectively across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and perspectives. Requirements

  • Masters or Doctorate degree (MSN, MS, DNP, MD, DO)
  • Maintain active and unrestricted NP, PA, MD, or DO license in California
  • Maintain active and unrestricted DEA license
  • Minimum 1 year experience in emergency room, urgent care, or similar setting
  • Current BLS.

  • 2 years’ experience in emergency rooms, urgent care, or similar setting
