About The Position

As a member of the Food & Beverage Waitstaff team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to guests within the casino's dining and beverage establishments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that patrons have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced, lively environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Completion of Orientation and safety trainings
  • Additional trainings as assigned
  • Wear black nonslip shoes
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Experience working as a waiter/waitress preferred.
  • Hospitality mind-set is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
  • RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino.
  • Food handler’s permit from a relevant government agency.
  • Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers consistent, attentive, and friendly service to guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Serve and refill complimentary beverages to guests.
  • Sell alcoholic beverages and food to guests, following RBS and Serve Safe guidelines.
  • Enhance expertise in wine, beer, and spirits to boost sales.
  • Clear away dirty dishes and glassware from occupied/or unoccupied tables in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Complete all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply level.
  • Operates, balances and reconciles cash & credit card transactions, and follow proper procedures for closing and balancing till.
  • Promote special events and menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional team atmosphere with fellow staff.
  • Relay any complaints, problems or positive remarks to Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintains assigned workstation and section.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
