About The Position

At Magnolia, the Waitstaff is responsible for creating the Magnolia Table experience for guests by providing prompt service, delivering quality products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable restaurant environment. This position ensures the highest level of customer care to guests by providing exceptional service and assistance. This position works from Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Assistant Front of House Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Hard skills: Proficiency in Aloha preferred
Soft skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Experience: 1-2+ years of related work experience preferred
Special training or licenses/certifications: Food Handler's license required upon hire, TABC Certified
General availability: Must be available to work flexible hours as assigned, including weekends, special events, and holidays

Responsibilities

Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values
Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia’s brand
Greet and escort guests to their table
Present menu and provide information when asked (portions, ingredients, food allergies, etc.)
Relay orders to kitchen by recording guest choices, identifying special dietary needs, and taking note of special requests
Serve orders by running food from kitchen and delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars
Follow Magnolia’s steps of service to provide exceptional and timely service
Contribute to opening/running/closing side work (brewing coffee/tea, stocking beverage stations, filling water carafes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, etc.)
Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Perform other duties as assigned
