Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverage orders efficiently.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests from guests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to get along well with others.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, keeping the area clean and neat.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
