About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at Grace Village Retirement Community. The job involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. Requirements

• Previous serving experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room.
• Take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested.
• Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
