About The Position

Unidine is hiring immediately for full time and part time WATER/WAITRESS positions. Location: Fountainview - 2000 Fountain View Road, Monsey, NY 10952. Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Days may vary, 10:30 am - 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm - 7:45 pm. More details upon interview. Requirement: No experience is necessary. Willing to train! Pay Range: $15.00 per hour to $15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room.
• Take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested.
• Accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others.
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
• Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period.
• Keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
