Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in semiconductor or hard disk drive wafer manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Proven expertise in wafer capacity planning, line loading, and logistics management
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor manufacturing
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 20%)

Responsibilities

  • Drive US Wafer Manufacturing lines to meet wafer demands, ensuring optimal production efficiency and output.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain, finance, manufacturing, engineering, and development teams to align production goals with overall business objectives.
  • Manage and optimize wafer commitments, taking proactive measures to meet all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the organization.
  • Oversee line loading, shipment, and expediting of wafers and inventories to fulfill commitments and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Analyze production data and market trends to forecast future demand and adjust manufacturing schedules accordingly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and equipment necessary for wafer production.
  • Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing planners and logistics specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure all wafers meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new technologies and processes into the manufacturing line, enhancing overall efficiency and product quality.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production demands.
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain or manufacturing process.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on production performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in the manufacturing process.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall business performance and customer satisfaction.
