The wafer manufacturing department has responsibility for staffing and improving operations in the wafer factory. This enables Seagate's strategy of delivering ever larger capacity storage including next generation MOZAIC drives to our customers. Come be part of the team in one of the world's most technologically advanced factories. As a Wafer Manufacturing team member, you will have responsibility to enact efficiency improvements in our wafer factory. Exact details will be determined closer to the project start, but possible areas include AI advancement to gain efficiency, yield improvements, factory business process, and governance support. You will have the opportunity to work with other engineers in the department and have a supporting role with frontline management teams and their projects.

  • Compile and organize information to assist AI advancement
  • Observe and interview operators to understand barriers to success
  • Map business processes
  • Collect stakeholder input to design and implement solutions
  • Present findings and solutions to management
