Requirements

  • High School Diploma, required
  • Currently enrolled in a Vincennes University's MIP Program
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently with little supervision
  • Able to work with basic Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Use caution and support systems to assure safety event free facilities
  • Observe, respond and report any instance of equipment non-conformity, or significant threat of resulting non-conforming product
  • Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures
  • Maintain security diligence, including control of key cards and preventing unauthorized entry
  • Pause activities and notify Safety lead regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environment or employee practices
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems
  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify implementation of solutions
  • Assist superiors in any day to day activity
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop
  • Complete manual machining and supervised CNC machine operation as needed
  • Assist with general shop maintenance and develop an understanding of machine functions and setup process
  • Read blue prints and use precision measuring tools to accurately record dimensions of components
  • Generate tooling component CAD models and detail drawings using SolidWorks
  • Participate in reverse engineering activities and maintain CAD data for manufacturing
  • Provide technical support as needed for new and existing tooling
  • Sort and organize hard copy and electronic documents for the Tooling Group
  • Scan documents and records for archive purposes
  • Complete Mold Manual maintenance
  • Assist Finance, Purchasing and Scheduling personnel as requested
  • Create files or log shop information as needed
  • Maintain reports related to project shipments, labor, and efficiencies
