About The Position

The Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Engineer will provide VTC support, operations, design, and maintenance aspects of the VTC infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Requires 3+ years’ experience configuring Cisco VTC endpoints utilizing TMS for call scheduling/bridging and VCS call routing
  • Candidates are required to be complaint with DoD Directive 8570.01. A valid DoD IAT Level II certification will be required within 120 days from starting.
  • Understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) & DISA VTC requirements.
  • Experience with DITSCAP/8500.2 IA controls desired.
  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) to include Wireless STIGS V6R1 is desired.
  • Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) required
  • Active TS/SCI required
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of DISA Global Video Services (GVS) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage VTC integration projects through all stages of the lifecycle from initial design phase through implementation
  • Document infrastructure changes that support VTC systems to include CAD drawings, and project specific engineering plans
  • Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cisco video conferencing equipment
  • Configuration of VTC endpoints in Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) and Video Communication Server (VCS)
  • In depth understanding of Cisco Meeting Manager (CMS) and Cisco Meeting Manager (CMM) Video conferencing
  • Advanced knowledge of the Windows 2012R2 server environment to include configuration of web services
  • Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all VTC system issues
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast pace, demanding environment
  • Experience with the Department of Defense (DOD) classified and unclassified environments
  • Knowledge and use of IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, TCP/IP, QoS, ISDN, Firewall Traversal, SIP, H.323, H320
  • DoD Video Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) processes.
  • Ability to design and set-up management interface, bandwidth utilization, zone distribution, dial plan, telephony integration among other VTC enterprise system requirements.
  • Responsible for evaluating, designing, documenting, installing, implementing, testing, maintaining, operating, removing and upgrading, and modifying video teleconferencing equipment systems.
