About The Position

CACI’s Digital & Enterprise Solutions (D&ES) Sector is seeking a skilled AV/VI/VTC Engineer (Lead). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems. This role requires a deep understanding of VTC technologies, networking engineering principles, and IT infrastructure. You’ll contribute to delivering high-performance, secure and modern network solutions that enhance mission readiness across Army CONUS locations. Requirements

  • US citizen with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance; SCI eligible
  • Degree: Technical BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 7 years in AV/VI/VTC system architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Commensurate: High School diploma or associate degree plus a minimum of 12 years of experience
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent.
  • Certified Video Conferencing Professional (CVCP) or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of VTC technologies (e.g., Cisco Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, security, and IT infrastructure,
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Specific Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD)

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
  • Experience with VTC solutions and unified communications platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex AV/VI/VTC systems.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, security, and IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to VTC communications.
  • Experience working with DoD or USA programs

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of AV/VI/VTC systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Develop detailed system specifications, diagrams, and documentation to guide implementation and maintenance.
  • Ensure VTC systems align with organizational standards, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Integrate VTC systems with other IT infrastructure components, such as network, security, and data systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of VTC systems with existing technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new VTC technologies and solutions to enhance system performance and capabilities.
  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of VTC systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to execute system deployments.
  • Conduct testing and validation of VTC systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Lead a team of VTC engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements, secure buy-in, and ensure VTC systems align with objectives.
  • Optimize resource utilization and implement scaling strategies to meet changing demands.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and work with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff
