About The Position

VT Shipping Team Shift 1: 7am - 3pm Shipping Support, West Rutland POSITION SUMMARY: Employee Owners on the Shipping team prepare, package, and ship customer orders with focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Stacks reels on pallets and keeps accurate counts. · Operates a stretch wrapper for palletized reels. · Stacks non-palletized reels directly into trailers and keeps accurate counts. · Appropriately marks each shipment with identifying labels. · Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards. · Secures loads with load locks, straps, and/or nets to ensure drivers’ safety. · May operate a forklift to service the shipping dock area with appropriately sized pallets, moving product to and from the stretch wrapper, and loading trailers for shipment. · Excellent attendance and willing to work overtime as necessary. · Excellent attitude, communication, and teamwork skills. · Other duties as assigned or required. · While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stack reels by reaching, lifting, turning and/or walking to a pallet or trailer. Depending on the order, reels range in size from 8” to 30” and weigh from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. Requirements

Valid driver's license
At least 2 years’ experience in a high-volume shipping/manufacturing/production setting preferred
High School Diploma

Responsibilities

Stacks reels on pallets and keeps accurate counts.
Operates a stretch wrapper for palletized reels.
Stacks non-palletized reels directly into trailers and keeps accurate counts.
Appropriately marks each shipment with identifying labels.
Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards.
Secures loads with load locks, straps, and/or nets to ensure drivers’ safety.
May operate a forklift to service the shipping dock area with appropriately sized pallets, moving product to and from the stretch wrapper, and loading trailers for shipment.
