We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about Lean and Continuous Improvement. The VPS Coach will play a key role in deploying the Volvo Performance System (VPS) within the Byhalia Central Distribution Center (CDC), developing people, and driving process excellence across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Proven experience in change management with Lean, Six Sigma, or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies.
• Background in distribution and/or supply chain operations, preferably within a unionized environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, PBI).

Responsibilities

• Implement VPS in alignment with the DC North America roadmap.
• Lead the development, implementation, and sustainability of VPS through coaching, assessments, training, knowledge-sharing events, and adoption of best practices.
• Train and develop team members at all levels in Lean principles and VPS methodologies to build long-term capability.
• Promote 'Lean Thinking' education across all warehouse employees.
• Support and monitor business KPIs to measure VPS implementation progress.
• Challenge management and drive best practices to accelerate efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coach employees at all levels in problem-solving and improvement activities.
• Develop and execute strategies for VPS initiatives, working independently and collaboratively.
• Support functional KPIs/PIs by facilitating problem-solving activities and coaching on continuous improvement.
• Lead Value Stream Mapping sessions to define and achieve future-state processes.
• Provide ongoing training on VPS tools and techniques.
• Conduct periodic audits to assess VPS adherence and cultural development.
