About The Position

Our ideal candidate for this role will possess a compassionate attitude and a growth mindset, developing young minds and inspiring a love of learning. This is a Preschool/VPK position serving children ages 4 - 5 years. As a Preschool Teacher, you will: Partner with and learn from the teachers in your classroom to create a welcoming, engaging classroom space for children to learn, play, and grow Responsible for the care, health, and safety of children ages 4 - 5 years. Required to know about developmentally appropriate activities, lesson planning, and assessments Use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with toddler children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn. Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions. Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement. Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • DCF 45 hours required
  • State VPK courses required
  • National CDA or FL Staff Credential required if no Early Education Degree
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds/sit on the floor with children
  • Must be able to work a Full-Time Schedule (5) days per week

Nice To Haves

  • ECE Coursework/AA/BA Preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Preferred
