About The Position

Work with assigned regional offices field offices and various support centers of Chubb Global Casualty to coordinate their efforts toward achieving profitable underwriting results for the business unit. These units include Operations, Claims, Actuarial, Credit Management, Loss Control, and all other Chubb Underwriting Business Units.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ Years Underwriting Experience
• Minimum of 10+ Years Management Experience
• Strong Business Acumen
• High Level of Product Knowledge including: Loss Rating, Exposure Analysis, Forms & Coverage, Rating Principles and Mechanics
• Strong Negotiation & Presentation Skills
• Deep Experience with Broker Relations & Customer Management
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Assists Branch Underwriting Managers in developing and executing business plan/strategy to achieve financial results in the areas of profit, growth, and expense.
• Proactively manages and monitors results and key performance indicators of assigned underwriting teams to achieve desired results.
• Manages referral process for assigned underwriting teams/regions.
• Refers risks falling outside of their authority to senior leadership as needed.
• Assists Branch Underwriting Manager with the development and communication of underwriting policies and procedures for business unit.
• Assists Branch Underwriting Manager in managing and monitoring audit process for business unit to ensure business unit is operating within established underwriting processes, procedures, etc.
• In collaboration with Global Casualty Branch Manager, Major Account Segment Leader, and Regional Executive Officer, executes a distribution strategy that drives profitable growth for assigned underwriting teams.
• Provides client engagement and leadership support where required from the home office level.
