About The Position

The Trust Officer II, VP is responsible for administering and expanding complex trust relationships while supporting revenue growth and long-term client retention. This role serves as a key fiduciary advisor, partnering with portfolio managers, beneficiaries, and professional advisors to deliver trust administration and wealth planning solutions. You will oversee fiduciary disbursements, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and support trust tax and estate-related processes. The position also contributes to business development efforts and provides mentorship and training support across the Profit Center (PC).

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required; CTFA accepted with significant relevant experience.
  • 5–7 years of trust administration experience and/or trust and estate legal experience.
  • 3–5 years of business development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of trust, estate, and tax law with the ability to apply it to complex fiduciary relationships.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and complex family structures.
  • Fluency with TrustDesk and related trust administration systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills; CRM experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence clients and professional advisors.
  • High initiative, strong follow-through, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer complex trust relationships by managing fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring service standards are met, and identifying additional client needs across Bank products and services.
  • Partner with beneficiaries, portfolio managers, and internal stakeholders to support estate planning objectives, recommend solutions, and deliver fiduciary-oriented wealth plans.
  • Oversee fiduciary disbursements and trust administration activities, including coordination of trust tax return preparation and compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Drive business development through networking, consultative selling, and collaboration with attorneys, accountants, and financial planners to promote fiduciary services.
  • Lead trust opportunity execution by coordinating RFPs, presentations, follow-up, onboarding, and new account opening activities.
  • Mentor and support junior trust team members through training, onboarding, and day-to-day coaching while remaining current on trust, estate, and tax law developments.
