About The Position

The Payments Product Manager role at Synchrony focuses on managing the Payment Hub program, which encompasses various Treasury Services processes such as ACH, Wires, and Account Validation. The ideal candidate will leverage their Agile project management expertise to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery while enhancing product features and customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma/GED and 8+ years of Product Management experience.
  • 4+ years of Product Management or related experience.
  • Strong Agile project management background with a focus on Treasury/ACH products and processes.
  • Experience in the banking/credit card industry.
  • Experience with ACH transactions/Treasury systems.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and influence others.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for owned product(s) with deep product expertise including features, functionality, and customer journey.
  • Execute and help develop the product roadmap.
  • Manage, prioritize, and track implementation of features within the program backlog.
  • Ensure work focuses on features with maximum value aligned with product strategy and enterprise goals.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to document current and future state payment processes, set product vision, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate process mapping sessions as needed.
  • Collaborate with scrum teams to clarify business requirements and remove roadblocks.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing and develop test plans.
  • Participate in team agile ceremonies to validate quality and document testing outcomes.
  • Lead and execute change management strategies across the value chain including product release plans.
  • Align with critical partners to identify and document deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
  • Lead program updates and prepare program status updates.
  • Support research, analysis, and business case development for new products or components.
