Grow, expand, and retain title company and escrow relationships and deposits for the bank. Be an advocate for and serve our clients. Increase the non-interest income base of account holders. Serve as a primary point of contact for client coordination, communication, and ongoing relationship management within the Title & Escrow vertical. This role is primarily sales-focused with operational involvement as needed to ensure seamless client experience and compliant account management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7+ years of title settlement and/or escrow closing experience with the ability to handle client issues in a highly satisfactory manner.
  • Proven track record of business development, sales production, client retention, and territory management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with sales and operations partners to ensure an integrated client management approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and client service skills; ability to work with small to large corporate businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial banking products, including treasury and cash management.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex tasks simultaneously within all time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High motivation and self-starter mentality with a desire and drive to be best in class.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent B2B skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to give and receive coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand and strengthen the bank's Title & Escrow deposit relationships.
  • Originate and develop new deposit accounts in accordance with established bank guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Lead formulation and implementation of long- and short-term strategic plans and objectives to increase market share and maximize growth opportunities throughout the marketplace.
  • Identify opportunities, details, and implementation strategies for geographic expansion into states not currently served by MVB.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive offerings within the Title & Escrow ecosystem to help shape strategic growth initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of trends and relevant industry landscapes to identify potential opportunities or challenges before they become mainstream.
  • Manage a pipeline and territory plan; report regularly on activity and meet or exceed goals to retain, maintain, and expand deposit relationships.
  • Prepare sales presentations and continuously build strong business and financial acumen, executing the highest standard of client and bank expectations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all applicable laws, regulations, and state-specific requirements governing the banking of Title & Escrow accounts to ensure compliant onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Strong working knowledge of audit, regulatory, and risk management expectations specific to fiduciary accounts and high-risk deposit categories.
  • Actively represent MVB by attending key industry events, conferences, and connection meetings to build visibility, deepen centers of influence, and identify new business opportunities within the Title & Escrow marketplace.
  • Provide account management, client servicing, and implementation coordination for complex accounts, including clients with specialized products and servicing needs within the Title Settlement industry.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion with respect to client relations and problem resolution; understand end-to-end processes and identify opportunities to initiate client collaboration in the development of new products and services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-education skills, with the ability to educate prospective and existing clients clearly and professionally on all products and services offered within the Title & Escrow division, ensuring a thorough understanding of features, benefits, and available digital services and integrations.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to escrow deposit accounts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Must be a team player, take ownership, and drive results to grow the business while sustaining intensity and optimism with a focus on the client.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — including Digital Operations, Compliance, Deposit Operations, and Relationship Management — to support seamless account implementation and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Partner with other MVB businesses (including CoRe Banking and Regional Sales) to ensure ongoing communication, cross-selling, and support of overall client and franchise objectives.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Title & Escrow Operations to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing servicing.
  • Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence, diverse industry segments, community leaders, regulators, and business contacts.
  • Assist with account onboarding, due diligence, documentation review, account setup, and system maintenance for escrow and fiduciary accounts.
  • Support wire transfers, ACH transactions, Positive Pay, and other payment services related to escrow activity.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements, including documentation tracking, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Support fraud prevention efforts by following established controls and reporting unusual activity.
  • Identify products to effectively integrate servicing with implementation and operational requirements across departments and bank divisions; provide technical assistance to resolve complex, unique client requests.
  • Work within a framework of standard practices, established procedures, and company policies to resolve servicing and operational issues.
