About The Position

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service ad agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a VP Strategy to help lead our Genesis team! We are a hybrid workplace, currently x3 days week in-office. Candidates local to SoCal please. The VP Integrated Strategy’s primary responsibility is to lead the creation of strategies that solidify the brand in the US and deliver success against objectives for the business. The goal of the Strategy Lead is to help uncover fresh and innovative insights/business opportunities, to help nurture inspiring creative ideas for our client and to work collaboratively with the agency’s teams to bring those ideas to life.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of market research, consumer insights, direct metrics, and digital metrics.
  • Deep knowledge of modern luxury brands and proven experience developing marketing for culturally intelligent brands
  • Knowledge driven person who excels at knowing / applying macro business and industry drivers, consumer insights, emerging consumer trends, and gaps within the competitive environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to interact with a diverse team and lead to a common goal.
  • Ability to work effectively and within time project deadlines in a highly dynamic, fluid operational culture.
  • Excellent communication skills: writing, verbal, and large-group presentations.
  • Highly self-motivated, and excellent attention to details.
  • Team player who is driven by collective success.
  • Ability to think creatively and evidence of success in developing brands and delivering them to market.
  • 15+ years of experience in brand planning, strategic planning and related communications experience.
  • Ad agency experience.
  • Expertise in brand development, digital strategy, communications planning, and full-funnel marketing.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive experience and Luxury brand experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop all brand / strategic planning activity for the Genesis brand in the US.
  • Develop trusted advisor status with clients by providing deep insights into the dynamics of their business through the development of disciplined and thorough sales, marketing, and consumer behavior analyses.
  • Develop trusted, relied-upon relationships with creative staff and partner with them in the creative development process.
  • Craft compelling creative briefs that inspire teams, spark bold ideas, and deliver work that advances the brand.
  • Work closely with creative teams to craft briefs that yield brilliant work that lives across the whole consumer journey.
  • You’ll be working to connect brand storytelling with measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with creative and account management peers to develop disruptive ideas at all points of customer contact.
  • Cultivate consumer insights through data and information analysis.
  • Assess industry drivers and competitive environment and identify trends, driving forces, and major implications.
  • Contribute to a department environment that fosters personal and professional growth for department members to encourage loyalty, openness of opinion and constant curiosity.
