About The Position

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative, and resourceful Vice President of Strategy & Business Development to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands. This crucial role is responsible for helping drive Centric Brand’s Business Development and Acquisitions agenda, reporting into the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record.
  • 8-10 years previous transaction experience within industry, ideally investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate development.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to build from a blank sheet valuation model including LBO, DCF, comparable sensitivities.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including ability to perform pro forma and cash flow analyses.
  • Ability to structure transactions with input from tax, legal, and treasury.
  • Proven track record of building relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent project management skills working with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for driving value-creating opportunities and entrepreneurship.
  • Self-starter, high energy, delivers against goals with minimal supervision.
  • Clear and succinct communicator, ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional modeling skills including complex financial analysis.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft productivity software.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the Business and Corporate Development agenda with agility and pace, including the identification of M&A and licensing opportunities.
  • Support the CSO and his team on BD projects, including acquisitions, licensing agreements, disposals, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead end-to-end project management of transactions, from origination to completion including post-completion obligations and commitments.
  • Oversee and support the development of valuation and business models to support BD projects.
  • Own and lead the due diligence process, including coordinating external advisors and analyzing diligence findings.
  • Collaborate with VPs, M&A legal and external advisors in the review and negotiation of core transaction documents.
  • Partner effectively with the Integration team to incorporate all Integration assumptions into business cases.
  • Support day-to-day Investment Committee matters including strategic, financial, operational and governance related matters.
  • Support acceleration of Centric Brands by identifying BD growth opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation of briefing and approval materials to Centric Brands executives and other stakeholders.
