  • Exceptional cross-team collaboration, communication, and architectural storytelling.
  • Able to communicate effectively with CXOs
  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Define the target state for observability platforms, data pipelines, and telemetry strategy.
  • Align observability and reliability insights with business outcomes, performance requirements, and operational KPIs.
  • Establish a unified architectural vision for cross-domain observability, automation, and intelligent insights (AIOps).
  • Observability Platform License and Cost Optimization
  • Create comprehensive observability standards and patterns by platform, tech stack, and integration type.
  • Work with the observability architect to define and build telemetry quality frameworks, log pipelines, cardinality, data governance, PII handling, and access controls.
  • Establish and build standards for SLO/SLI definitions, alerting best practices, and error-budget-driven improvement.
  • Review major incidents, identify observability gaps, and evolve architecture and tooling.
  • Design and build end‑to‑end observability patterns across UI, RUM, metrics, traces, logs, enrichment, routing, and retention.
  • Provide guidance and build reusable assets (templates, SDKs, reliability/observability-as-code patterns).
  • Enable frictionless onboarding and self-service integrations into telemetry pipelines and dashboards.
  • Coach and empower development teams on instrumentation, traceability, event modeling, and dependency mapping.
  • Define observability and reliability approaches for major initiatives, including data center migrations, cloud modernization, platform consolidation, and M&A/partner integrations
