The VP of Software Engineering at Fidelity Investments is a leadership role that combines technical expertise with strategic oversight in software development.   • Lead the design and implementation of extensive web-based applications.
  • Guide the development of standard methodologies for the full software creation process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, test automation, and continuous integration.
  • Provide technical leadership to all team members.
  • Motivate and build a results-oriented implementation team delivering strategic software products and services.
  • Collaborate with Product Area Leaders and Squad Leaders to deliver technology initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach a multi-region technology team.
  • Ensure the delivery and quality of software through all phases of development.
  • 2+ years' experience working at the Vice President level in a software engineering group.
  • 6+ years' experience as a software development manager or related role with a consistent track record of software delivery.
  • 10+ years of software development experience across front end, middle tier, and back end.
  • 4-5+ years of client-side UI development experience.
  • 4-5+ years of Responsive Web Design and Web Accessibility experience.
  • Experience with Angular.js, Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Java, and Microservices architecture.
  • Recent experience as a full-time people manager required.
  • Strong organizational, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Deep understanding of Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies.
  • Proven negotiation, problem solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on delivery and quality.
