About The Position

As a VP, Software Development at Fiserv, you will spearhead efforts to modernize and rearchitect our applications, ensuring they align with business demands. You will develop strategic technology roadmaps while collaborating closely with product managers, designers, agile coaches, and clients in an Agile environment to deliver high-value software. You will foster a client-centric engineering culture and lead multiple critical workstreams with a focus on swift execution and engineering excellence. This leadership role is within Merchants Technology and will responsible for driving the build, delivery and technology management of Partner Referrals, Sales Enablement and Digital Onboarding products for the SMB Merchants segment. In addition to a strong technical background and a proven delivery management experience, this role requires strong client relationship skills and frequently, is called upon to ideate alongside product partners and key client stakeholders to develop and deliver optimal integration solutions for them.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience leading development teams and organizations across all lifecycle phases and driving process improvements
  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development, cloud services, data structures, and resilient services
  • 8+ years of experience in managing expectations for and communicating with Senior Executives and Clients
  • 6+ years of experience in managing and coaching managers and senior technologists to deliver global, scalable solutions swiftly and with high quality
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Payments or broader financial services industry background
  • Familiarity with designing and delivering scalable, event-driven architectures that are cloud (AWS) native
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, specially) and Cloud native BI reporting (Sigma, specifically)
  • First-hand experience with driving the adoption of AI and Agentic dev tools and processes to build high-performance software development teams.
