SCOR has created a new global facultative reinsurance team, to further our success in this market. Whilst facultative underwriting is not new to us, our focused approach will help secure our position as a key market in the industry. Creating this book of business, in collaboration with the wider Insurance and Reinsurance teams is where this role begins. Within this role, you play a key role in SCORs facultative property/ construction reinsurance offering, across the United States, developing and strengthening relationships with cedants and brokers and collaborating internally with peers and counterparts in the global SCOR organization. As a senior underwriter for property/ construction, you will support business development efforts, including business origination and ongoing maintenance of SCORs facultative offering to cedants and brokers, in the region. You will also contribute to the property/ construction line of business as needed. You support the achievement of the plan and contribute to the profitability of the cedant facultative transactions in the US and Canada and play an important part of the regional underwriting success. Your individual contributions help advance the regional and global cedant facultative ambition through sound technical and profitable underwriting. These goals require experienced underwriting and commercial skills to develop SCOR’s market share and leadership position across facultative reinsurance. As a leading global reinsurer, SCOR offers its clients a diversified and innovative range of reinsurance and insurance solutions and services to control and manage risk. Applying “The Art & Science of Risk,” SCOR uses its industry-recognized expertise and cutting-edge financial solutions to serve its clients and contribute to the welfare and resilience of society in around 160 countries worldwide. As an international company, our common culture is defined by “The SCOR Way.” Serving both to build momentum that drives the Group forward and as a compass to guide our actions and choices, The SCOR Way is anchored by five core values, reflecting the input of employees at all levels of the Group.
