About The Position

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Naples Grande Beach Resort is a leadership role focused on driving sales and marketing initiatives to achieve budgeted goals. The position requires a creative and analytical individual with a proven track record in the resort industry, responsible for developing strategic initiatives to enhance occupancy and revenue growth, while also managing a large sales team during a significant resort renovation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in large resort sales and marketing.
  • Experience in developing group and transient markets and driving business from new group customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of computer accounting programs and budgetary analysis capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, and team leadership.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the public and team members.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

  • Independent resort experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales and marketing activities to achieve budgeted goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to build a substantial group business base, driving occupancy and revenue growth for the resort.
  • Drive the online advertising strategy utilizing strategic partners to achieve growth in website traffic, bookings, and conversion.
  • Create on-property promotions and programming while collaborating with applicable departments.
  • Coordinate public relations efforts related to special events with the Public Relations team.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Play a pivotal role in resort sales and marketing efforts, including client meetings and hosting events.
  • Plan and participate in Sales and Marketing trips and industry-related meetings.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting plan.
  • Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying their needs.
  • Enhance the resort's community image by participating in associations, events, clubs, and boards.
