About The Position

Our client, a leading fresh food manufacturer specializing in deli and prepared foods solutions for leading U.S. retailers, is seeking a dynamic VP, Retail Sales – Deli & Prepared Foods. They are entering its next phase of retail expansion, with a strategic focus on scaling its deli and prepared foods platform across national and regional grocery, mass, and club channels. Position Summary The VP, Retail Sales – Deli & Prepared Foods is responsible for defining a national retail growth strategy and scaling its deli and prepared foods business across major U.S. retailers. This executive owns retail revenue, margin, national account expansion, and the multi-year deli platform strategy. The role builds executive-level retailer partnerships, leads national negotiations, and establishes a high-performing retail sales organization capable of delivering sustained profitable growth. The VP is a core member of the commercial leadership team and aligns Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development to execute retailer commitments and scale the deli platform. Requirements

  • 12–15+ years retail sales in food (deli, prepared foods, perishables)
  • Senior leadership of national or multi-region retail sales teams
  • Proven success with major U.S. retailers (Kroger, Albertsons, Costco, Walmart)
  • Experience building or scaling a deli or fresh prepared foods business
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership and trade management experience
  • Deep knowledge of perishable supply chain and retail deli operations
  • Track record of national distribution expansion and revenue growth
  • Bachelor’s required; MBA preferred
