The Role We’re hiring a VP of Retail Energy to help drive the next phase of growth. In this role, you will be accountable for net-new customer growth and year-1 customer profitability across our sales channels for our two subsidiary retail energy supplier brands. This is not a role where you’ll be handed a plan and asked to execute it, though there’s a clear near-term roadmap and an incredible team to get you ramped quickly. From day one, you’ll be expected to figure out where the highest-leverage work is, get it done, and build the sales org structure to sustain growth into the next phase.

Requirements

  • You have a track record of identifying and executing high-leverage work in ambiguous environments . You’ve figured out what mattered most and drove it. You’ve made real mistakes and learned from them. Which means you’ve taken swings and owned the outcomes.
  • You’ve managed a team and you’re really good at it. This includes hiring, coaching, giving direct feedback, and addressing underperformance. You’ll be leading an excellent team, and they need a strong operating partner.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail energy experience is a strong plus. But the core skills, like finding leverage, autonomous execution, and people management, matter more than industry background.

Responsibilities

  • Net-new customer acquisition targets across multiple sales channels
  • Year-1 customer economics: CAC payback, early churn, cohort profitability
  • Sales compliance risk management - ensuring the sales org operates cleanly
  • Building and running pilots of new growth strategies, with scale up once proven
  • New market launch execution and ramp to target customer counts
  • Sales org development: defining the structure, roles, and processes needed to support the next phase of growth
  • Building the capability of your channel leaders so they operate with higher leverage over time
  • Vendor and agent management and economics

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with matching eligibility
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Mobile phone stipend
  • East Austin location close to restaurants and events
