The Retail Banking Manager (RBM) serves as the bank’s retail leader and models The Western Way, consistently creating superior customer experiences and inspiring and coaching others to do the same. The RBM has two primary and related responsibilities –leading the retail team in effectively providing service to customers, and directly serving customers while modeling desired behavior. As such, the RBM is responsible for the successful recruitment, management, coaching, development, retention, and overall leadership of the retail team in accordance with Western’s vision, values and team guidelines, and for ensuring a superior customer experience, both individually and through the retail team, by establishing a customer relationship, gaining a thorough understanding of customer needs, identifying products and services to meet the customer’s needs, and actively partnering with teammates outside of the retail area, including but not limited to mortgage, business banking, investments, and support functions to meet other customer needs.
