The position involves overseeing the development and execution of cross-functional strategic development plans aimed at developing and registering a program. The role requires close collaboration with Commercial counterparts to create an integrated development and commercialization strategy. It is essential to integrate cross-functional perspectives, ensuring that the program development strategy is informed by scientific evidence, clinical data, and the changing competitive landscape. The individual will proactively anticipate issues, ensure contingency plans are in place, identify barriers and solutions to mitigate them, and capitalize on opportunities and strategies. Working with Expertise Area leaders, the role demands appropriate prioritization and adequate resource allocation (both financial and personnel) to meet program timelines and deliverables. The individual will create and maintain a high-performing cross-functional program development team, establishing team structure, monitoring program resourcing, managing conflict, and building team culture to foster a positive atmosphere. Based on the current stage of development for the program, the individual will lead the team to define future milestones and key deliverables, such as the Target Product Profile, pivotal Clinical Development Plan, Global Filing Plans, and Life Cycle Management Plans. Additionally, the individual will serve as an internal and external ambassador for the program, fostering broad engagement to cultivate strategic KOL relationships and enabling overall integration of external insights to inform program strategies. The role also includes summarizing and representing the program to Alnylam leadership, the Board of Directors, alliance partners, collaborators, and other external parties as requested.
